STYGION Keystone b0.2.4: what's new
A launcher can offer your players Keystone's client half in exactly your
version. The server list ping now says which Keystone runs on the server — the
version number only, like 0.2.4 — beside the game and the loader. The STYGION
Launcher uses it to offer the same version for the player's pack before they
join, downloaded from Modrinth or CurseForge and checked against the portal's
hash; nothing is ever downloaded from your server. announce.offer-client
turns it off; off, with no pack and no manifest set, the ping is vanilla's again.
Recommend client mods and settings presets to your players.
announce.recommend takes one line per mod or preset — a Modrinth or
CurseForge project, exactly one version, that one or newer, or the newest that
fits, a required mark for the player to read, and a reason in English and
Czech. The STYGION Launcher lists them before a join with your reasons and
installs what the player ticks, from Modrinth or CurseForge only. The Server
list screen in the editor shows the list and writes a line for you.
Your resource pack can be in place before the join. With
announce.resource-pack on, the ping carries the address and SHA-1 of the pack
in server.properties; the STYGION Launcher downloads it ahead, checks the
hash and switches it on, so joining does not stop to download it.
The everyday commands from FTB Essentials, in Keystone. For staff:
/heal, /feed and /god (each also on another player with its .others
permission, never on somebody who outranks you; god mode ends when they leave),
and /invsee <player> - /invsee <player> ender for the ender chest - for an
online player and an offline one alike. Changing what is in it is
keystone.invsee.modify, only while they are online; an offline player's
inventory is read from their saved data and only ever shown, because writing it
back while they might be joining could duplicate items. For players: /hat
(Curse of Binding still holds), /trash, and /near - names and a distance
rounded to ten blocks within near.radius, never a direction or a coordinate.
/hat, /trash and /near are in the default group from the first start.
Each command has its own <command>.enabled and, where it makes sense, a
<command>.cooldown.
Nicknames. /nick <name> - shown in chat, in the tab list and wherever the
game prints a name; hovering over it shows the account (chat.hover.nick,
{account} in chat formats). Who may choose their own is keystone.nick, or
nick.from-group - "vip-plus" lets VIP+ and every heavier rank. A nick is
letters, digits and _ only, nick.min-length to nick.max-length, never one
of nick.blocked-words (also spelt with digits for letters), and never another
player's nick or the name of any account the server has seen. Staff name others
with /nick <player> <name> (keystone.nick.others). A nick somebody chose
themselves goes when their right to one does, as does god mode they gave
themselves.
Mutes. /mute <player> <time> [reason] and /unmute, in the same ledger as
bans (/keystone history shows them, GET /v1/mutes lists them). A muted
player's chat, the commands in mute.blocked-commands (/msg and its family) and
their linked Discord account through the bridge are refused, with the reason and
the time left. Nobody mutes somebody above them or holding
keystone.mute.exempt, and a mute somebody above you gave is theirs to lift.
Kits. A new module, off until you turn it on: a starter kit on the first
join and /kit <name> with a wait kept per account in the database - leaving,
a reload or a restart resets nothing. Kits are three lists in kits.toml:
kits (name, how often or once, first-join, groups=), items (as /give
takes them, components included) and commands. The editor has a Kits screen.
A daily report on Discord. Another new module, off by default: once a day at
reports.time the day before goes to reports.channel - players online on
average and at most, how many different and new, time played, votes, uptime -
and, if you set reports.team-channel, the whole of it with TPS, tick time,
restarts and new tickets for the team. Which fields each shows is a list.
Every web address the server says is a link. Announcements, /vote, rules
and every other line the mod or your configuration says turns https://…,
www.… and example.com/path into a link with the address on hover. Never in
what a player, Discord or the assistant wrote. votes.page adds your website's
vote page to /vote.
/back after dying goes where you died (back.prefer-death, on), even
after a /spawn or /home in between, and looks to the side for safe ground
when the place itself is lava; a fall into the void is refused.
Rename or switch off any of Keystone's commands: commands.off and
commands.rename in keystone.toml (kit: kits) - for a pack where another
mod wants the same name. Everything stays under /keystone <command>.
Smaller things. /skin <link> slim (or classic; without it, the picture's
arms decide) - slim skins wore shifted arms before. discord.relay-avatar = discord shows a linked player's Discord picture beside their lines instead of
their head. Fixed: replies to commands such as /language, and refusals of a
chat line, printed colour codes as characters (&#ffca36») instead of colours.
A {player} put into a console command (vote rewards, crates, kits) is the
account's id when the name is not a plain one - on an offline-mode server a
player called @a would otherwise have rewarded everybody.
